Juan Valenzuela

Project Manager

Raised in Yakima, Washington, Juan developed an appreciation for the built environment that led him to pursue a degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. During his time in college, he spent a summer studying abroad in Tahiti, where he formed lifelong friendships with his host family and continues to visit every two to three years.

Juan joined B&G in April 2026 and is currently pursuing architectural licensure. Outside of work, he enjoys 3D printing and modeling, as well as working on his car in his spare time. His favorite building is L’Oceanogràfic in Valencia, Spain, designed by Félix Candela, whose innovative structural designs have made him the architect Juan would most like to meet.

What Juan values most about architecture is its ability to connect the intimate scale of a home with the larger world around it. He sees architecture as an exercise in empathy—creating environments that enhance how people live, interact, and feel every day. Driven by a passion for creating, he is inspired by the opportunity to design beautiful, functional, and enduring spaces that serve a purpose beyond themselves and leave a lasting impact on future generations.
